Grupo Aval partners with Claro to launch Claro Pay

Colombian financial holding Grupo Aval and telecom operator Claro Colombia officially announced a partnership on September 24, 2026, to launch the digital wallet Claro Pay. The announcement was made during the Claro Tech Summit 2026 in Cartagena.

Claro Pay will run on the technological and financial platform of dale!, owned by Grupo Aval. In this alliance, dale! operates as Banking as a Service (BaaS), providing the regulatory, transactional, and operational backing for the mobile wallet.

The open and interoperable application will support daily financial operations. These include payments, instant transfers through the Bre-B network, bill payments with cashback, and prepaid mobile package purchases offering special benefits.

María Lorena Gutiérrez, president of Grupo Aval, stated that the partnership combines Claro's telecommunications reach with the strength of Grupo Aval's digital ecosystem and the flexibility of dale! to simplify daily money management for Colombians.
