A Friday filing shows a 19% increase in pledged shares to back personal loans.
Larry Ellison has pledged 67 million more shares of Oracle Corp. as collateral for personal loans than he had at the same time last year. The update was disclosed in an Oracle proxy filing on Friday, September 25, 2026.
The additional collateral represents a 19% increase in the number of shares Ellison had pledged in 2025. Based on Oracle's closing share price of $137.10, the newly pledged shares are worth about $9.2 billion.
Ellison is currently helping his son David's company, Paramount Skydance Corp., acquire Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. in a transaction valued at $111 billion. The Ellison family has committed to $47 billion in equity funding for that acquisition, with about $24 billion of that amount provided by three Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds.
