Embraer delivers first C-390 Millennium to Uzbekistan

Embraer delivered its first C-390 Millennium multi-mission transport aircraft to the Uzbekistan Air Force on September 25, 2026. The handover ceremony took place at Embraer's facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil, attended by Major-General Akhmad Jamolovich Burkhonov, Commander of the Air Force, and Olimkhon Bakiyevich Rustamov, director of state-owned enterprise O'ztextreyd.

The contract was signed in late 2024 and includes a comprehensive training and support package, as well as the supply of spare parts. With this delivery, Uzbekistan becomes the first operator of the C-390 Millennium in Central Asia.

The C-390 Millennium can carry a payload of up to 26 tonnes, fly at speeds of 470 knots, and perform missions such as cargo and troop transport, medical evacuation, search and rescue, aerial firefighting, and humanitarian operations from unpaved runways. Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, stated that the delivery confirms the platform as an advanced air mobility solution and expands the global user base of the aircraft.

In addition to Brazil and Uzbekistan, the C-390 has been selected by Portugal, Hungary, South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, Slovakia, Colombia, and Lithuania.
