CEO George Kurtz pushed back on AI slowdown calls, highlighting machine-speed cyber risks.
CrowdStrike Holdings was called a stock investors need to own by CNBC Mad Money host Jim Cramer, who described a message by CEO George Kurtz as the most important post on this must-buy stock.
Kurtz posted on X that artificial intelligence is driving machine-speed cyberattacks and giving elite execution to every criminal. Responding to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, who urged an industry-wide slowdown backed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Kurtz stated that slowing the technology does not secure existing threats. Kurtz proposed treating AI agents as privileged identities with strict permissions, short-lived credentials, and kill switches.
Kurtz noted that Anthropic and OpenAI have agreed to embed independent evaluators with employee-level access, where CrowdStrike will supply frontline threat data. He highlighted SafeMind, a joint protection system developed with Nvidia, while noting that every customer the company speaks with is worried about agentic threats.
CrowdStrike shares fell 1.02% on Friday to finish at $206.74, before dipping 0.16% in extended trading. The stock is up 82.31% year to date and 85.93% over the past year.
