Partnerships with Uber and Disney+ aim to reactivate occasional visitors across the restaurant chain.
McDonald's introduced a redesigned tiered loyalty program designed to reactivate approximately 150 million infrequent guests. The restaurant chain is offering tailored perks to encourage customers who rarely visit its locations to return more regularly.
The relaunched structure features partner rewards, including ride credits with Uber and subscription benefits with Disney+. The initiative seeks to build on the company's global digital network, which currently counts nearly 220 million active loyalty users and shows strong adoption in markets such as Japan.
With a market capitalisation of about $167.4 billion, McDonald's operates and franchises restaurants worldwide. The new loyalty structure aims to provide franchise operators with richer customer data, similar to digital strategies deployed by competitors like Starbucks and Yum Brands.
