The investment firm completed the sale of the portfolio across 11 cities to a global institutional investor.
Funds managed by global investment firm KKR have completed the sale of a portfolio of 16 hotels across Japan to an unnamed global institutional investor, according to an announcement on September 25, 2026. The properties operate under the Four Points Flex by Sheraton brand across 11 cities, including Greater Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Fukuoka.
KKR acquired the hotel assets from Unizo Holdings in 2024 before launching a renovation and repositioning program. In partnership with Marriott International, the firm introduced the Four Points Flex brand to the Asia-Pacific region, linking the properties to Marriott's global booking network and loyalty program.
KJRM, an asset management firm KKR acquired in 2022, will continue managing the portfolio and plans to work with the buyer to add further hotel assets over time. KKR's dedicated operating platform, K+ Hospitality Management, will remain as the operator of the 16 hotels following the transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed.
