Duke Energy appoints Joyce Mullen to its board of directors

Duke Energy announced on September 25, 2026, that its board of directors appointed Joyce Mullen as a new director, effective September 28, 2026. Mullen will serve on the Audit Committee and the Operations and Nuclear Oversight Committee.

Mullen retired as president and CEO of Insight Enterprises in April 2026 and continues to advise its leadership as executive vice president of strategic development. Before serving as CEO, she was Insight's president of North America. She also spent 21 years at Dell Technologies in executive roles and previously held leadership positions at Cummins Engine Company. Mullen also serves on the board of The Toro Company.

Duke Energy president and CEO Harry Sideris and independent board chair Ted Craver highlighted Mullen's experience in digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and operations as key assets for the company's long-term strategy and energy modernization.
